American singer and actress Demi Lovato, with over 90 million instagram followers, dissolved her brief engagement with Max Ehrich, after the transpiration of him “trying to further his career by using her name behind her back,” said an insider to People.
Ehrich claimed in an Instagram Story he had found out about the split through the media and wrote, “Imagine finding out about the status of your relationship through a tabloid.” “While you’re in the middle of filming a biopic movie about a Pastor in a Christian Church whose intention of the film is to help people.”
Though, the source said “Demi made Max aware that the relationship was over and it was going to come out in the press.”
“It was very hurtful to Demi when she realised that Max’s intentions weren’t genuine,” another source close to the Disney Channel told People.
As the couple started seeing each other toward the infancy of the COVID-19 pandemic a source said, “[they were] basically together 24/7 for months. [They] lived in a bubble with zero stress and everything was just fun.”
When the actor went to Atlanta to film the movie “Southern Gospel,” the insider said he “shot up in fame” and “got wrapped up in [Hollywood],” which took a toll on their love.
Lovato has denied the claims, with a source telling People that “made Max aware that the relationship was over and it was going to come out in the press.”
Despite the grievance of the split, a source said Lovato is “doing okay,” adding that the split is “a good thing.”
“It was a tough decision, but Demi and Max have decided to go their separate ways to focus on their respective careers,” said the inside source.
“Demi and Max were basically together 24/7 for months,” the source said. “They lived in a bubble with zero stress, and everything was just fun. Now they are both working and are on separate coasts.”
Following the breakup, Lovato shared a video on her Instagram Story in which she zoomed in on her statement on a T-shirt “dogs over people.” Her engagement ring was unabashedly absent from her left hand ring finger in the short video.
