In a lengthy Facebook post titled “Peeking From Between My Fingers”, Lena Dunham expresses her horror watching Kanye West’s “Famous” video. She describes it as “one of the more disturbing artistic efforts in recent memory.”

The controversial video shows celebrities George Bush, Anna Wintour, Donald Trump, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Taylor Swift, Ray J, Amber Rose, Caitlyn Jenner and Bill Cosby lying in bed naked with Kanye and Kim. She definitely was not impressed by Kanye exposing friend and squad leader saying “Fuck that one hurt to look at, I couldn’t look”. She couldn’t stand that Taylor and other admirable women like Rihanna and Anna had been reduced to a pair of waxy breasts by some special effects guy in the Valley.

After referencing the Stanford rape case, Dunham labels the video as “disturbing” and “sickening”.  She also said it makes her “feel sad and unsafe and worried for the teenage girls who watch this.” She believed the clip is informed and inspired by the aspects of our culture that make women feel unsafe in their own beds, in their own bodies.
