It’s been a whirlwind romance for unlucky in love singer Taylor Swift and British hottie Tom Hiddleston. After photographed kissing in Rhode Island just two weeks after her breakup with Calvin Harris, their relationship has moved at light speed. Despite only dating for two weeks, Tom has met Taylor’s parents and the pair (relationship name: Hiddleswift) are currently gallivanting around Europe on a grand romance tour.
During this enviable tour, Hiddleswift journeyed to Tom’s hometown in England so Taylor could get the ultimate tick of approval; Tom’s mum. The trio were seen strolling along the beach and smiling, so it looks like Taylor has been welcomed into the fold. According to People, Tom’s mum adores Taylor and considers her a lovely addition to the family.
This news was apparently very shocking for Swift’s ex, DJ Calvin Harris, who called it “fucking laughable”. Apparently, in their year-long relationship and despite his many requests, Taylor never had time to meet Harris’ family. She allegedly said their home in the UK was too far away. And yet, she’s now met Tom’s mum in his UK hometown after only two weeks. Interesting.
Is this yet another case of Taylor moving too quickly? As fans of the singer’s love life will remember, in 2013 Taylor dropped millions on a holiday mansion next to the family home of her then boyfriend, Conor Kennedy.
We also can’t help but question whether this a scam to boost their careers, as Calvin Harris reportedly suggested? According to TMZ, Harris thinks that Taylor is getting close to Hiddleston to land a role in the next Bond film (for which he has been heavily favoured).
